Siddhartha Sankar Adhikari is a seasoned Civil Engineer with over 35 years of experience in the power and infrastructure sector, specializing in hydroelectric, thermal, and renewable energy projects. A B.E. (Civil) graduate from NIT Silchar, he retired as Executive Director (Technical), NEEPCO Ltd. in May 2025 after a distinguished career spanning multiple leadership, engineering, project development, and business acquisition roles. He has extensive expertise in the planning, design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and operation support of major power projects, including hydroelectric schemes, combined-cycle gas-based power plants, and grid-connected solar projects. His experience covers preparation of feasibility studies and DPRs, hydrology and power potential assessments, techno-economic evaluations, contract management, bid specification development, project due diligence, regulatory clearances, and infrastructure development. Throughout his career, he successfully contributed to landmark projects such as the 405 MW Panyor Lower Hydro Electric Project, 600 MW Kameng Hydro Electric Project, 101 MW Tripura Gas-Based Combined Cycle Power Project, and 5 MWp Monarchak Solar Power Project. He also led strategic initiatives including SAP S/4HANA ERP implementation, hydro project acquisitions in Arunachal Pradesh, and engineering management for major hydroelectric developments. His leadership roles have included project execution, technical due diligence, engineering design management, business development, contract negotiation, bid evaluation, and stakeholder engagement with government agencies, consultants, and regulatory authorities. He is currently empanelled as an Independent Engineer in the Ministry of Power (MoP) Panel of Experts.
